Tours and cabs
Each trip is built around when the temples are open, with a car that waits and a guide who knows the pujaris. Prices are fixed before you travel and quoted per car, not per head, so a family of five pays what a couple pays.
Darshan day
Pick-up from Delhi NCR (about 3 hours) or Mathura station (about 1 hour). Shringar aarti at Shriji, Kirti Mandir, Peeli Pokhar, Prem Sarovar and Sankari Khor, lunch, Nandgaon after 4, back after Sandhya aarti. Ropeway and Govardhan on request.
Ashta Sakhi circuit
Unchagaon, Chiksauli, Karhala, Kamai, Anjanokh, Dabhala, Rakauli and Sunhera, with Narayan Bhatt's samadhi, Prem Sarovar and a guide who tells each Sakhi's story at her village. October to March.
Braj Holi week
Laddu Holi, Lathmar Holi in Barsana and Nandgaon, Phoolon wali Holi in Vrindavan, with an English-speaking guide, vetted stays and airport transfers.
Barsana parikrama
Gahvar Van, Krishna Kund, Peeli Pokhar, Vrishbhanu's palace, the town's temples and up to Shriji, at dawn, with the stories told where they happened. Three hours. Ekadashi and Purnima mornings are the best.
Barsana and the Braj you can see from it
Day one: Barsana properly, Nandgaon in the afternoon, a night in Barsana. Day two: Govardhan parikrama or Radha Kund and Kusum Sarovar, back to Delhi or on to Vrindavan.
A car and a driver who knows Barsana
Sedan for up to 4, SUV for up to 6, tempo traveller for 9 to 12. Local days, Delhi and Agra transfers, the Braj circuit. Fixed fare in writing, waiting included on day trips, no surge on Holi, Radha Ashtami or weekends.
Hindi and English, and the sevayats on first-name terms
Our guides grew up in Barsana and know the sevayats, which is what makes seva and a calm darshan possible. For foreign guests we pair an English-speaking guide with the same local knowledge.
We do not offer VIP darshan. There is none to offer.
From here, so they know the back roads
On festival days the main road into Barsana closes and the town is zoned. A driver from Delhi is stuck at the barrier; ours know which village road is open at which hour. That is the whole reason to book a Barsana car for a Barsana day.
We reply with a plan, not a brochure
Say when you are coming and how many of you there are. You get two or three options with real distances to Shriji and a fixed price. No surge on festival days.
- Reply within a day, usually within hours
- Stays 10% below the walk-in rate when booked through us
- A local lead with every group on festival days
- No VIP darshan promises, because there is no such thing at Shriji
